This 1965 Austin-Healey 3000 BJ8 Mk III was originally collected in England via the Personal Export Delivery program and is then said to have been transported to the US in 1967. The seller eventually acquired it as a stalled project in 2019. The body had been refinished in navy blue, the cabin reupholstered in blue leather, and the 2.9-liter inline-six rebuilt. Work under the seller’s ownership included replacing the top and top boot, fuel pump, battery, grille, chrome trim, braking system, alternator, ignition system, wheel bearings, heating system, and fluids. Equipment includes a four-speed manual transmission with overdrive, chrome 15″ wire wheels, driving lights, dual SU carburetors, an Abarth exhaust system, Smiths gauges, and wood trim. Service in anticipation of the sale consisted of rebuilding the carburetors and replacing the tires. This 3000 BJ8 Mk III is now offered with service and refurbishment records, removed parts, workshop manuals, a driver’s handbook, a British Motor Industry Heritage Trust certificate, and a New Hampshire title in the seller’s name describing the car as a 1967 model year.
